Hoboken Public School District’s Gifted and Talented Students Excel at International Schools Olympiad

Hoboken Public School District demonstrated exceptional prowess, securing a total of 121 medals


Hoboken, NJ, — May 29,2024 — The Hoboken Public School District is proud to announce the outstanding achievement of its Gifted and Talented students in Grades 2 through 8 in the International Schools Academic Olympiad. Hosted by the International Schools Olympiad Foundation in Dubai , the Olympiad is a prestigious competition that brings together exceptional young minds from across the globe to showcase their talents in various content areas.

This year, the Gifted and Talented students from the Hoboken Public School District demonstrated exceptional prowess, securing a total of 121 medals, including 109 medals of excellence and 12 medals of international distinction. Their remarkable performance not only highlights their individual talents but also reflects the district's commitment to nurturing and empowering gifted children. Award winners will be presented with certificates and recognized at an upcoming Board of Education Meeting.

The International Schools Olympiad provided a platform for students to compete in a wide range of disciplines, including Mathematics, Science, English, Reasoning, and General Knowledge. Through rigorous study and dedication, the students displayed their skills and knowledge, earning accolades on the international stage.

The success of its gifted and talented students in the International Schools Olympiad serves as a testament to the district's commitment to academic rigor and relevance. The Hoboken Public School District is deeply committed to providing opportunities for all students to excel academically and pursue their passions. In addition to a thriving Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Program which serves over 350 students across the district’s middle and elementary schools, all Grades K-8 students participate in an Individualized Learning Pathways period each and every day. The ILP period, as it is commonly referred, provides challenge and support for all learners based on their needs, as well as enrichment for all students.
