All students will have the opportunity to apply for a seat in one of our three high school PLTW Pathways: Biomedical Science, Computer Science, or Engineering.

2021-2022 PLTW Application
Information Sessions will be held during the school day for all interested 8th and 9th grade students. Applications can be completed during the school day or at home during the Open Application time period.
Students applying for acceptance to the PLTW Program at Hoboken High School will go through a two-part application process.
- Online Application:
Answer general information questions about why you want to be a part of the pathway you've chosen. This application will include 2 critical-thinking questions, and student responses will be evaluated based on their critical-thinking and reasoning process, not the accuracy of your answers.
- Interview:
Each student that applies will be called in for an interview. This will allow our PLTW faculty and administration to learn about your educational strengths and weaknesses, your interests, and your goals. This will be conducted as a formal interview. (Refer to this chart for interview tips)
Upon the successful completion of the application process, a letter will be sent home regarding your pending acceptance to the program.
