Hoboken High School’s commitment to global education is exemplified by our passion for travel. Our Classroom Without Walls Program’s international trips offer unique experiences that foster open-mindedness and a global perspective in our students. Each year, our authentic learning experiences transport us to captivating historical locations, enriching our students' understanding of the world.
At Hoboken High School, we are thrilled to witness our students' horizons expanding through immersive tours to historical and modern destinations. Our Classroom Without Walls Program's educational tours and cultural exchange programs offer more than just travel. They provide in-depth learning experiences, hands-on education, and lasting cultural connections that significantly contribute to our students' education.
Since the program began in 2016, our Redwings went on a Grecian Odyssey, walked in the footsteps of ancient Greeks, and explored Peru, Machu Picchu, and Lake Titicaca. They embarked on journeys to explore Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Japan, France, England, Monaco, Gibraltar, Portugal, Italy, and Spain. What’s next for our program of studies? During the summer of 2024, we are heading to Iceland, and during the spring of 2025, we will go on a journey to discover South Africa.

While this country’s spotted and striped inhabitants are memorable, it’s the social, political, and cultural lessons of South Africa that are sure to leave a lasting impression. Standing in Nelson Mandela’s former home adds powerful context to his fight for democracy and reconciliation, while Cape Town is a favorite destination for many thanks to its cosmopolitan atmosphere and stunning scenery. As you explore South Africa’s cultural diversity, remarkable wildlife, and natural landmarks, you’ll begin to understand the story of an entire continent.
